More Prego News!

Just wanted to let you all know that April Williams Purvis is going to be a mom to a baby boy in August!
Congrats April!

Also, Jane Gaskins is Pregnant with her second baby boy!

Also, Pat Siegal had her babies and I will hopefully post pictures of them later on in the week!

I just wanted to congratulate y'all and thank y'all for your hard work as alum. Grace just got back from Vacation Leadership Seminar, and she informed all of us that our alum association received Diamond 4-point and Achievement award. She explained that our alum were the only ones to do so well in our province. So, I just wanted to pass along the how proud everyone is about your hard work.

On another update we received Diamond 4-point as a chapter as well, which hasn't been done since I've been a member. So, we are extremely proud about that, too.

So the name of DeAnn's little surprise girl is Laura Kathlene! What a beautiful name! '
They seem to be doing fine! Can't wait to meet this little legacy! Hope all is well! We will have an alum meeting this Thursday! Hope to see you all there!

New Babies!

Just to update everyone we have two new babies! A boy and a girl! DeAnn has had another sweet little girl to everyones surprise! She was suppose to have a boy! The name of this bundle of joy is in the works and we will let you know when the parents decide!
We now have little Tyler with two very happy first time parents Angie andFrank!
Congrats to both of these women! We can't wait to here more news!

We will also have an alum meeting this Month on Thursday the 15th of May! I will send time and place in an e-mail so be looking! We still have several BUNS IN THE OVEN so be looking for updates! Hope you all are doing well Much Love AmyP

More and More Baby News!

Fun Fun News For Everyone! I was able to visit with Pat tonight and I found out that she is having a boy and a girl! How exciting! Her Husband was extra excited to have a little man around seeing that they already out numbered with one precious little girl Elise! We are excited about your jorney with the two little ones and can't wait to hear about the checkups! So keep us updated! I enjoyed the visit and Thanks for sharing such great news!

More Baby News!

Congrats to Ashley Watford! She is having another boy! All these boys are so exciting! She is very excited and can't wait for all of you to meet little Parker!

I also found out that the name of Ashley Jackson's little one will be Owen McLeod. Too sweet!

Next Social!

Our next social event will be Tuesday, FEB 12th at my house. We will be serving Margaritas and Mochas! We will also have some beauty tips along with sample products! It will start at 7pm at my house. There will also be another social on Wed the 20th same thing for those that can't come on the 12th also at 7pm at my house! I think this will be a great fun time! Hope to see you all there. I apoligize for the misunderstandings I will get better at the e-vite thing. First time user! I need the e-vites for Dummies! (Anyone now that website?)LOL! If you can't e-vite your response due to all the confusion you can comment on this blog to let me know which night you can attend!

More Baby News!

Hello Everyone! More exciting news! Most of you know that Ashley J is pregnant and just found out she is having another boy! No names that I know of. Just wanted to post the excitement!

Congrats to Kelli she is having another boy! We can't wait to meet little William "Logan".

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

A Huge Thanks to all the girls that came tonight! We had an amazing turn out! Thirteen girls! Way to go guys! Thanks for pumping me up and making me feel so good for my first meeting as president!

2008 is going to be GREAT! We have very exciting news! We have many babies on the way!

We have Deann having a boy name still in the works!

We have Angie having a boy Tyler MacRoy

We have Kelli having a baby and will find out the gender in less than 24 hours! I will update as soon as I hear!

And last but not least, Pat is having Twins and will find out the sex of them on Feb 10th! Yippee!!

God sure is good! These amazing children are miracles and We all can't wait to meet them!

Here is what to come:

We will be having a social night at my house two different nights so that if you can't come to one you can come to the other! I thought that would be one way to make sure everyone had a chance! The Theme is Mocha's and Margarita's while discovering how to have the best, youngest looking skin ever! You won't want to miss this! There will be free gifts and who couldn't use a Mocha or Margarita after a long day at work! The nights will be in February. I will send out two different e-vites and just respond to the one that best fits your schedule!


We will then take the month of March off. There are several Weddings going on and I think having a social every other month is nice!

We will then meet back up in April having a Restaurant Hop. This is were we meet at one place for appetizers and drinks then leave and go to a place for our main entree and then a place for dessert and coffee! We will probably have more than one of these! Depending on how well they go!

We will also have a kids play date and I will announce that in March! We might visit wink for a fun Easter Craft!


Other News
: The chapter seems to be going good. We will be update by Christy and Pat and we will try and help when we can! So keep looking for updates!

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be in January! We will meet at RedBone upstairs. Please try to make it if you can. We will just meet and discuss new ideas for the year of 2008. We have a lot of ideas and upcoming events that you wont want to miss!

Yummy! Look at all the food! We had a great show from the chapter! They seemed very excited about the upcoming year!

Its been a great term...

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me during my 2 year term as President for the Alum Association. I am happy to announce that the torch is being passed onto Amy Pennington effective immediately. Please welcome her into her new position and show all the support you can for the Alum Association.

If there is anything I can ask of each of you for Amy Pennington's term, it would be to make a committment to become more involved in the Association. I know we are all busy with life, but I personally feel great after having left a meeting and gotten to reconnect with people I maybe don't see on a daily basis. Just consider it atleast....

Thanks soo much to everyone again and I look forward to seeing you all in 2008. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Alum Updates

• DeAnn (Weatherly) Tiller is expecting a BOY!! Congratulations to DeAnn and Brent. We will all be praying for a happy, healthy baby boy!
• Angie (McKnight) Branton find out the sex of her baby the day before Thanksgiving. Angie, please make sure you update your blog so we can all check it out on Thanksgiving day after we have stuffed our faces FULL of turkey!
• Christmas w/ the Chapter: proposed date is Sunday, December 9th at the home of DeAnn Tiller. The chapter is to get back to me if this is a workable date for them. The plan is for the chapter members to bring a $10-$15 unwrapped gift to be donated to the Toys-for-Tots and the Alum will be sponsoring a family. This will be a "bring a dish" get-together if it all pans out. Details to come so please check back.
• The Zeta Phi chapter is having a pancake supper on November 29th at FMU. I'm trying to find out if we can pre-order. There again, the chapter is to get back with me so please check back for updates!!

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child was started in 1993 as a way to spread the "good news of God's love" to children in need all over the world. In a tightly packed shoe box filled with school supplies, candy and toys , a child learns that someone in the world cares and it also about the power of God's love.

This year, Amy Pennington is hosting a get-together at her home on Thursday, November 15th at 7:30pm to prepare shoe boxes to be shipped to children all over the world. She will be serving desserts and coffee so please come with a sweet tooth.

To prepare yourself for this event, you will need the following:

• Choose the age/sex of your child: Boy (1) 2-4 years (2) 5-9 years (3) 10-14 years OR Girl (1) 2-4 years (2) 5-9 years (3) 10-14 years .
• Once you have chosen your sex/age, purchase items to fill your shoe box FULL! Suggestions: school supplies (crayons, pencils, markers, stamps, calculator, coloring books), small toys (cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, jump ropes, yo-yo), hygiene items (AMY IS PROVIDING TOOTHBRUSHES & TOOTHPASTE, comb, washcloth, soap), other items (hard candy, gum, mints socks, t-shirt, hat, toy jewelry, watch, flashlight - w/ extra batteries, sunglasses).
• DO NOT PURCHASE: any war-related toy, chocalate, liquids or lotions, anything breakable - like glass and aerosol cans.
• Bring your shoebox and items to Amy's where you will assemble everything, put in a note (already prepared by Amy) and wrap your gift (wrapping furnished by Amy too).
• Bring $7 to cover the cost of shipping your shoebox. Checks should be made payable to: Samaritan's Purse and in the memo line write "Operation Christmas Child."
